Which files should I backup?

To ensure that you have a good safe copy of your iWeb site, you only need to back up one file, (which should be done as part of your regular data backup). This file is your domain file, and it lives here:
User/Library/Application Suuport/iWeb/Domain.sites
When I say back up, I mean that you should copy either using backup software or not your data files from your Mac to an external source. Whether it be CD, DVD, iDisk, External Hard Drive, USB Drive, many possibilities. The reason that I suggest using an external source is twofold.
Firstly, if you Mac is stolen or severely damaged, you have all of your data elsewhere.
Secondly, if you just back up to your Macs Hard Drive and this drive become corrupted, then you may not be able to access your backup.
I deleted my site in iWeb, what now?
Unless you have a backup of your domain file, see above, then I am sorry to say that its back to square one. You need to recreate you whole website, your existing website will still be available on your iDisk so people can continue viewing it, and you can use it to copy the content.
If for some reason you have deleted your domain file and you decide that you want to keep you old site up and running until you replace all of the content, make sure that you give for new site a different name in Site Organizer. If you can’t remember what you called your old site, you can easily find out but viewing your site online, the url is in this format: http://web.mac.com/YourUserName/iWeb/SiteName. Or you can access your iDisk>Web>Sites>iWeb>SiteName.
Once you have decided what you want to do then you can start again and reuse the content of your old site in your new site, simply copy and paste the elements that you want to reuse, or you could use this error to redesign your site :)
